Our client, a leading consulting company, is looking for an independent who can deliver the following responsibilities :
1. Hosting & Infrastructure Strategy
a. Assess the current hosting infrastructure, including data centers, disaster recovery
(DR) sites, and cloud environments. Evaluate active-passive, active-active, etc.
deployment strategies
b. Evaluate and design zoning of DC-DR
c. Evaluate performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency through system reports &
analysis.
d. Identify inefficiencies and recommend optimization strategies.
2. Cloud Readiness & Adoption
a. Evaluate readiness for cloud adoption by conducting assessment for applications and
services using structured frameworks
b. Evaluate optimal cloud models (public, private, hybrid) and develop a cloud-first
roadmap in the client context
c. Prioritize applications for migration.
3. Strategic Cloud Architecture Design
a. Design a detailed scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architecture.
b. Define vendor selection criteria, and SLA tracking mechanisms.
c. Identify cloud-native tools and services to enhance agility and innovation.
4. Integration with Enterprise Architecture
a. Ensure alignment of cloud strategy with enterprise architecture, data architecture
principles and cybersecurity frameworks.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
a. Help conduct workshops with infrastructure and IT teams to gather insights and
validate strategies.
b. Present findings and recommendations to project committees.
Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
- Experience with virtualization, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and
infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with colocation, on-premises, and edge computing strategies.
Architecture & Governance
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience designing cloud governance, cost optimization, and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud security standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks).
Strategic & Analytical Thinking
- Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, and ROI modeling.
- Experience in developing cloud adoption frameworks, migration roadmaps, and vendor
evaluation matrices.
Government Cloud Policy Awareness
- Familiarity with MeitY’s GI Cloud (MeghRaj) initiative and associated guidelines.
- Understanding of National Data Centre Policy, Digital India Cloud Vision, and compliance
with DPDP Act and other Indian IT regulations.
- Experience working with PSU clients on cloud adoption strategies – good to have.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in core IT segment, with at least 3 years in cloud
transformation and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect
Expert, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or IBM Cloud Professional Architect
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification preferred.

We do not charge any fee or commission from you. Your fee quote will be paid out to you in full as per your project contract.
