Our client, a not-for-profit public institution for research-based
engagement targeted at young adults wants to engage with Consultant - HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The Human Resource Manager will work in coordination with the Director, the managers of other functions, and Accounts Manager to coordinate the following activities
• Recruitment and onboarding:
Updating job descriptions, applicant pre-screening, organizing interviews and selection tests, reference and background checks, campus hiring, negotiations of terms and conditions, offer release process, employment contracts preparation and management.
• Employee engagement, promotions and exit:
Employee data management, HR Information System setting up, contract management, confirmation, promotions, terminations, exit management, conflict resolution and workplace investigation
• Employee Orientation and Training:
Preparation and updating of the Employee Handbook, employee training needs assessment and roadmap preparation,
• Staffing Plan:
Manpower requirement assessment, staffing and succession planning
• Compensation and Payroll:
Compensation structuring and administration, payroll compliance, monthly payroll processing, leave of absence and attendance management, advance payments, performance bonus, medical reimbursements
• Employee Benefits:
Provident Fund, Employees State Insurance Act, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labour Regulation Act, Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund, Shops and Establishment Act, Payment of Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Equal Remuneration Act, Building and Other Construction Workers Act
(whichever applicable)
• Performance Management:
Performance appraisal design and development, goal setting and performance monitoring and evaluation, Employee self-assessment and performance evaluation, identifying training and development needs, career planning
• Corporate Governance:
Compliance with statutory requirements and establishing systems for health and safety, HR code of conduct, discrimination or harassment investigations, vendor code of conduct, whistle-blower policy, and HR audits
Person Specifications
• A post-graduate degree/diploma in HR Management is essential
• Required exp of 4-7 years of work experience as a generalist
• Broad knowledge about all areas of human resources is desirable
• Should have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Should be agile and flexible to support a growing organisation
• Should be sensitive to creating a culture of diversity and inclusion
• Competence to create a playful and collaborative work environment
