Assignment Details

Key Responsibilities:

 

1.HR Policy, Governance & Framework Design

 

  • Design, document, and implement compliant HR policies, SOPs, employee handbook, and hiring frameworks.
  • Ensure policies are aligned with labour laws, industry best practices, and organizational culture.
  • Establish clear role clarity, decision rights, and governance mechanisms within HR.

2.Foundation HR Operations Setup

 

  • Set up end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, documentation, employment contracts, employee files, and exit processes.
  • Design and implement grievance redressal mechanisms and structured HR communication channels.
  • Ensure consistent, auditable, and employee-friendly HR processes.

3.Statutory Compliance & Audit Readiness

 

  • Establish and manage statutory compliance rhythms (PF, ESIC, CLRA, Shops & Establishment, labour laws, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance accuracy.
  • Prepare the organisation for audits and inspections with robust documentation and controls.

4.HR System Record & Infrastructure

 

  • Formalise leave management, attendance tracking, HRMS implementation, and personnel databases.
  • Create standard templates, trackers, records, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and system discipline across HR operations.

5.Talent Acquisition & Hiring Governance

 

  • Design and deploy structured hiring workflows, interviewing standards, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Ensure role clarity through JD frameworks and competency mapping.
  • Establish offer governance including approvals, compensation alignment, and documentation.

 

6.Performance Management System (PMS)

 

  • Design and implement a PMS aligned to business stage and employee success.
  • Drive clarity on expectations, performance cycles, feedback mechanisms, and outcome measurement.
  • Partner with leadership to embed performance accountability.

7.Goal Setting & Leadership Accountability

 

  • Introduce disciplined goal-setting through KRAs/KPIs and cascading objectives.
  • Define review cycles, calibration mechanisms, and leadership accountability.
  • Enable managers with tools and frameworks to drive high performance.

8.Employee Engagement & Retention

 

  • Design employee engagement architecture to strengthen morale, retention, and belonging.
  • Implement listening mechanisms, engagement initiatives, and action planning.
  • Support culture-building initiatives aligned with organizational values.

Skills Required

Required Skills & Experience

 

  • 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in high-growth, transformation, or build-from-scratch environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience in HR operations, compliance, policy design, and HR governance.
  • Proven experience setting up HR systems, processes, and PMS frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Experience working closely with founders, CXOs, or senior leadership teams.
