Our client, a leading American Private Foundation, is looking to engage with a Consultant- Health Innovation.
They are look for external consultant to help with this increasing scope of work in India.
The scope of work will include:
1) Work in a program management capacity on the courses for regulatory science in India. More
specifically:
• Guide the design and delivery of the regulatory workshops planned in the grant
• Guide the design and development of the short courses
• Help bring necessary resources and connects to industry partners for setting up internship
opportunities (as part of the curriculum) for the PG Diploma course
• Provide technical guidance on finalization of partnership agreements with the industry
partners
• Guide the development of a metric to evaluate the quality of the workshops, short
courses and PG Diploma course
2) Help with project documentation and management for various ongoing grants specifically:
a) Grants to Huwel Lifesciences- There are currently 5 different grants being given to the company
and hence the consultant will:
- Help with tracking the progress of the grants against the milestones.
- Help with preparing background notes, reading lists and presentations as and when needed
for the different projects for both internal and external audiences.
- Work with Foundation teams to take inputs on how to leverage the different projects better
and communicate current progress and highlight challenges so that necessary support can be
provided early
- Build and sustain close relationships with grantees and partners including reviewing and
providing feedback on reports and materials shared by grantees
- Participate in key review meetings, partner visits and stakeholder meetings
b) Development of a strategy for STI diagnostics work for India
- Work with internal teams to understand what data might be needed to guide the strategy
and explore if/how to support the Indian diagnostic ecosystem for the development of STI
tests.
c) Provide project management support for diagnostics related to the nutrition work in India
d) Any other immediate grant/areas that might require support as the need arises.
On all of these:
- Work with Foundation teams to take inputs on how to leverage the projects better and
communicate current progress and highlight challenges so that necessary support can be
provided early
- Build and sustain close relationships with grantees and partners including reviewing and
providing feedback on reports and materials shared by grantees
- Participate in key review meetings, partner visits and stakeholder meetings
PhD/Masters degree in a science discipline (Biology or Chemistry) with understanding of
laboratory techniques, the diagnostics industry and upstream research and development
processes with at least 6-7 years of experience post the degree
Prior experience of having worked with multi-stakeholder networks.
Ability to synthesize and prepare reports, presentations and analysis related to diagnostics
Strong communication skills and project management skills
Fluent in English as the role requires working closely with teams based out of Seattle
