Our client, a leading American Private Foundation, is looking to engage with a senior health consultant.
The consultant will support the Foundation in:
• Developing a structure and composition of a Program Management Unit (PMU) that can
coordinate and support the vertical interventions under the health partnership (through
existing grants to Gauhati Medical College and other institutions). Ensure the PMU proposed
structure is conducive to drive cross-cutting efforts and provide support across the thematic
areas, in coordination and alignment with Govt. of Assam (DHS, NHM, and all concerned
stakeholders).
• Developing Governance Framework for the partnership between GoA and Foundation:
Propose a mechanism for regular and structured engagement between the two entities.
Suggest modalities and tools for collaborative planning, review, and decision-making. Outline
a framework for joint workplan development and implementation tracking.
• Designing a Monitoring Framework: Develop a results overview framework that aligns the
outcomes of the projects under partnership with the broader strategic goals of the
Foundation. Recommend processes and tools to track progress, measure performance, and
facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Deliverables to the Foundation:
• A proposed structure, composition and functioning mechanism for a Program Management
Unit that supports all verticals and enables program execution in alignment with Govt. of
Assam (DHS, NHM, and all concerned stakeholders).
• A recommended governance and coordination framework for the health partnership between
GoA & GF, including mechanisms for workplan development and review.
• A monitoring framework, linking project-level indicators in Assam to the overall goals of
Foundation.
