Assignment Details

We have recently launched our foods franchise in India and have an ambition to build a scaled food business in the country and are keen to explore the opportunities that the market has to offer. We have also recently acquired a food manufacturer in India and the aim is build off the synergy between the acquired capabilities with the opportunity that the Indian CPG market offers and with emerging trends in our domain

We are looking to engage a senior marketing consultant who can work with us to assess the opportunity and develop business proposal for the India Foods business which we will present to the global leadership team for approval.

We expect the Consultant to help us with the following:
* Assessment of the market opportunity
-What products / solutions are consumers seeking in the foods space - based on
sales/category data
- Emerging food trends
- Current un-met needs to of the India consumer

* Identification of the right product basket for India based on
- Market size, competition, unmet needs
- Fit with our existing capabilities, inhouse + acquired

* Develop a detailed product launch strategy for the high priority segments including suggested pack size, variants and tentative pricing and where applicable a complete competitive landscape for the product/s

* Define the proposition for the product/s – clearly what it stands for and why would the consumer be willing to buy it

* Help develop the 3 -5 year business projections for the product – Top line and expected investments. A brief P&L detailing the gross margins of the business should also be a part of the working

* The launch plan –given the nature of product / category – a brief plan of what should be the RTM ambition and landscape in which the product can play in

The Marketing expert will work closely with a Management Consultant who will help drive key analytics, financial projects and support overall project management - we expect the Marketing Consultant would do the heavy lifting in terms of pointers given above. This project is based out of Gurgaon.

Skills Required

Strong experience in developing marketing strategies, opportunity assessment for new product categories and segments

Experience in planning and designing marketing plans for new product launches

Demonstrable experience of driving marketing campaigns and delivering high impact

Knowledge of the consumer and foods space in India will be a definite plus
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication
