Key Responsibilities:
1. Provides entry- to intermediate-level professional engineering or advanced technical services, under supervision of more senior professional staff and/or faculty personnel, as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the unit.
2. Undertakes and/or participates in engineering or technical design projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise that will support the units design and engineering, information technology, and/or other technical needs.
3. Participates in the design, planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within engineering, construction and/or other advanced technical areas of expertise.
4. Interacts directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
5. Receives guidance, training, and mentoring from more senior professional personnel in designing, planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
6. As appropriate to the position, and as specified by unit management, conducts original design and/or research and prepares reports based on findings, to included recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
7. May provide day-to-day guidance and support to student employees and/or interns within area of specialty.
8. May undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
9.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

3. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
4. Project development and planning skills.
5. Entry-level engineering and/or advanced technical knowledge and skill at the Bachelor's or Master's of Science level within specified area of technical professional specialty.
