Assignment Details

Our Client, Indian Film Production and Distribution Company is looking to engage with a Senior Strategy Consultant. The candidate will be responsible for developing strategic insights through a combination of quantitative and qualitative tools, including but not limited to financial and business modelling, competitive benchmarking, surveying target audience, among other things. Senior members of the team and upper management shall rely heavily on these insights to inform and guide important business decisions on the initiative.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed interactions and workshop with senior members of the team to clearly understand overarching ambition and strategic intent
- Identify critical revenue & cost heads (e.g., capex estimates) by studying similar initiatives existing benchmarks, and SME inputs
- Leverage discussions with key stakeholders to collate margin assumptions
- Build a business model that discusses economics at the unit level to be then scaled profitably
- Identify ideal configuration mix to breakeven & achieve desired gross profit margins
- Formulate & analyse different scenarios (by manipulating key variables) to determine price volume sensitivity & outline associated risks
- Finalize business plan for pilot program and examine if size, scale and maturity impacts operating margins
- Review key competitors (that have scaled) to identify steady-state EBITDA margins and turnaround time to achieve positive EBITDA
- Provide 3–5-year cost projections, investment requirements (cash injection, greenfield vs brownfield) as well as enrolment and revenue potential
- Ensure an ‘easy to refer to’ access system for all related work and update it periodically

This Project is for 2 weeks only, Remote.

Skills Required

- Experience driving/conducting quantitative & qualitative analysis (including modelling) with an ability to extract patterns and insights from data to inform recommendations – may not necessarily be limited to experience in management consulting and investment banking firms
- Excellent proficiency with MS Excel/PowerPoint
- Ability to present complex analyses to senior members of the team clearly and concisely
- Has an entrepreneurial flair – thrives in an environment that demands taking initiative and adapting to changing requirements and enjoys going above and beyond the defined scope of work
- Interest in media, content, and entertainment is a plus but not a prerequisite
- Has the courage to challenge the status quo and exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
