Assignment Details

Our client, an American Multinational FMCG company is looking for a Senior Consultant- Commercial Finance, Some key responsibilities are listed below : 

 

Financial Reporting and Controls:
Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and presentations.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risk.
Monitor financial performance, identify deviations, and provide recommendations for improvement.
 

Commercial Finance:
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to analyze pricing, profitability, and sales performance.
Evaluate the financial impact of new product launches, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
Conduct ROI analysis for capital investment projects and provide financial justification.
Support the development and implementation of sales forecasting and demand planning processes.
 

Financial Operations:
Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
Oversee cash flow management, ensuring optimal working capital utilization.
Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control initiatives.
Implement and maintain effective financial systems and processes.
 

Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the timely and accurate submission of tax returns.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance to the organization.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for annual audits and tax filings.
Maintain proper documentation and records for tax and regulatory purposes.
 

Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop, implement, and manage the financial planning and budgeting process.
Prepare accurate financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and recommend cost optimization strategies.
Provide guidance and support to department heads in creating and managing their budgets.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the GBS team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Finance Manager or in a similar financial management role within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and practices, including local tax regulations.
  • Experience with tax compliance, including the timely submission of tax returns.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
