Role Overview
The BFSI Expert – Technical Assessment Support will serve as a senior advisor responsible for evaluating the technical competencies, leadership capabilities, and domain expertise of candidates being considered for leadership positions within a newly established Strategic Management Unit of a large conglomerate. This role involves leveraging deep BFSI experience to ensure assessments are accurate, industry-aligned, and strategically relevant.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct technical and domain assessments of shortlisted candidates for senior leadership roles
• Evaluate candidates on BFSI-specific expertise, functional leadership skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and execution capability
• Provide expert insights and structured feedback to the internal leadership team to support final decision-making
• Contribute to designing or refining assessment frameworks, interview guides, and evaluation parameters
• Participate in panel interviews, technical discussions, and leadership assessment rounds
• Ensure assessments align with industry standards, emerging trends, and best practices in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance
• Work closely with the client’s Strategic Management Unit to understand role expectations and assessment goals
Engagement Details
• Engagement Duration: ~1 month (approx. 1 week of active assessment support)
• Location: India (must be open to travel)
Required Experience & Background
• Minimum 25+ years of experience in the BFSI sector
• Proven track record in a CXO or senior leadership position (CEO, COO, CFO, CHRO, CTO, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of BFSI operations across banking, financial services, NBFCs, and/or insurance
• Experience in talent assessment, leadership evaluation, or organizational strategy is preferred
• Exposure to large-scale organizational transformations, risk frameworks, governance structures, or operational excellence initiatives
