Assignment Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT–OT integration initiatives to connect enterprise systems with shopfloor technologies and enable seamless manufacturing data flow.
  • Design and implement integration for MES, Historian systems, OPC (Kepware or equivalent), and non-OPC connectivity across manufacturing environments.
  • Provide expertise in core manufacturing technologies including e-BMR, e-logbooks, automation systems, robotics, SCADA, PLC, and DCS.
  • Support deployment of edge connectivity and edge computing solutions to enable real-time monitoring and control of manufacturing operations.
  • Enable integration between manufacturing systems and quality platforms such as LIMS, QMS, DMS, and laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC connectivity, Chromeleon).
  • Identify and implement digital and AI-driven use cases to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality performance, and predictive maintenance capabilities.
  • Design and implement manufacturing data architectures leveraging IoT platforms, IoT streaming technologies, time-series databases, and Unified Namespace (UNS) frameworks.
  • Ensure manufacturing system architecture aligns with ISA-95 standards and enterprise data integration frameworks.
  • Apply strong domain knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing (preferred) or chemicals/consumer goods manufacturing processes to drive effective digital solutions.
  • Ensure all digital manufacturing solutions comply with GxP requirements, including documentation, validation, and regulatory compliance considerations.

Skills Required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8–15 years of experience in manufacturing digitalization, industrial automation, or IT–OT integration environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and manufacturing historian platforms.
  • Strong expertise in OPC connectivity (Kepware or equivalent) and non-OPC industrial connectivity protocols.
  • Deep understanding of industrial automation technologies including SCADA, PLC, DCS, automation systems, and robotics.
  • Experience working with manufacturing technologies such as e-BMR, e-logbooks, and edge connectivity / edge computing.
  • Familiarity with quality and laboratory systems including LIMS, QMS, DMS, HPLC connectivity, and Chromeleon or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing data architecture, including IoT platforms, IoT streaming, time-series databases, and Unified Namespace (UNS).
  • Knowledge of ISA-95 standards and GxP regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing environments.
  • Industry experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (preferred), or chemicals / consumer goods manufacturing with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
