Assignment Details

Our client, a leading consulting firm is looking for experienced Data Scientist professionals in Operations. This role focuses on solving complex industrial and process optimization challenges using advanced analytics, machine learning, and modeling techniques.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and deploy optimization models for sourcing, allocation, and operational decision-making in manufacturing/process environments.
  • Perform EDA, build ML models, and derive actionable insights to improve throughput, efficiency, and energy utilization.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to translate business problems into scalable data science solutions.
  • Implement Python-based analytical solutions and ensure model performance, validation, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and optimization
  • Experience with optimization techniques (linear programming, mixed-integer programming, heuristics, simulation models)
  • Expertise in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and statistical analysis
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying Machine Learning models for operational use cases
  • Knowledge of process optimization, throughput improvement, and energy efficiency analytics
  • Familiarity with industrial/manufacturing or process industry datasets
  • Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model validation
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets from plant or operational systems
  • Ability to translate business/operations problems into analytical solutions
  • Good stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
