Our client is a leading non-profit organization that is working on a unique health initiative along with 4 other international development sector organizations.
This initiative deployed innovative tech-enabled, facility-based interventions to help healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care during the crucial 48 to 60-hour period around childbirth to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes. The key stakeholders of the project were Govts. of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Our client wants to develop a Comprehensive Project Report documenting the project journey from its inception to conclusion of pilot phase. As a part of project evaluation, outcome evaluation and implementation research study has already been conducted and results are documented. The comprehensive project report needs to be compiled based on existing research findings and other documents available with the project.
The Comprehensive Project Report should essentially include the following components –
Background and inception: Need to accelerate the reduction of maternal and early neonatal mortality in India through improved maternal and newborn health outcomes at health facilities and formation of Alliance to address this need through the initiative.
Partnership framework: Collaboration of five developmental sector partners to form alliances, creation of Project Management Unit and selection of implementation agencies for on ground implementation of project.
Key stakeholders: Collaboration with Govts. of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan
Project description: Goals & Objectives, Geographic coverage, and project duration.
Project implementation: Implementation of Quality of care (rapid assessment, capacity building, mentoring & support visits, periodic assessments) and Digital solution (landscaping visits, development of application & roll out) components of project.
Project outcomes/ Key achievements: Project reach and details on improved MNH outcomes.
Monitoring & evaluation of the project: Findings and insights from baseline, midline & endline evaluation outcome evaluation and implementation research studies
Documents, presentations, and publications: Details on knowledge base documents developed, insight papers, peer review articles published and presentations at key events.
Sustainability and scale-up: Details on knowledge transfer to state governments, creation of pool of Master trainers, Govt. funds allocated for expansion of the initiative solution to newer districts & facilities.
Key learnings and recommendations: Key project learnings and recommendations for similar Health projects.

Skills Required
- Prior experience of working in the development sector or having worked in a consulting background
- Demonstrable project management experience will be an advantage.
- Excellent report writing skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team is essential
- Strong skills with MS Office applications.
- Experience of line management and/or contributing to the professional development of other teammates is a plus.
- Structured and effective communicator that can shape and deliver messages to executive level and facilitate effective client engagements.
