Assignment Details
One client, a leading impact investor, is in the process of developing an approach and strategy for how they can provide support to migrant workers to find both livelihoods and access to key services. To support this, they are looking to engage a consultant who can work with the stakeholders and think through the whole process including -
1. Conduct a deep dive into the data and evidence of the impact of COVID-19 on migrant workers - this will include figuring out which organizations are doing the most credible research in the space and the challenges faced.
2.Analysing the models for access to welfare services for the migrant workers - the aim here is to identify several interesting models that could have a meaningful impact and support these as Lighthouse projects that can serve as POCs for the space.
3. Thinking through ideas to improve standards of living for migrant workers and their families, including access to housing
In addition to the landscaping of the space and identifying opportunities where the client can have an impact, the consultant will also need to own 2 key workstreams:
* Prepping for and facilitating a series of round table conversations the client will be hosting in partnership with NITI Aayog for a range of stakeholders in the domain
* Developing 2-3 scoping documents for high impact initiatives identified through the work
Note - This project would require remote support for 6 months.
Skills Required
- Prior experience in the development sector is a must.
- Experience in scheme analysis would be a plus
- Excellent analysis and report synthesizing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
