Assignment Details

Our client, an American multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporation, is looking to engage with a Legal Consultant who is very strong on Labour laws and Statutory compliances and can work independently with the client's senior stakeholders and HR team.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

- Supporting the Compliance Investigation Team in internal governance policies and compliance framework.
- Supporting critical compliance investigations, measuring the over all risk in case of any non- compliances, drawing remediations plans and providing guidance to the teams for internal investigations of the company involving labour/ HR related issues.
- Drafting and finalizing, in co-ordination with all the stakeholders, the necessary remediation letters for employee related investigations including notices, termination letters, warning letters and any other matters as required by the Company.
- Substantial role in building culture of compliance and shaping how the organization addresses its relationships with law and regulations.
- Co-ordinating with internal stakeholders including the HR, Business and Compliance departments and external counsels to provide support on the company investigation matters.
- Briefing external counsels on the matters and strategizing the course of action and proposed remediation for minimize legal risks for the organization.

Skills Required

- Law graduate with relevant work experience between 5 to 10 years.
- Demonstrated experience & expertise with Employment, Labour laws & Statutory compliances.
- Must have independent thinking and decision making skills with the ability to provide end-to-end support on matters.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
