Assignment Details

Our client, an American multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporation, is looking to engage with a Consultant- Legal.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Litigation Strategy and Management: Liasoning and support for primarily labour law related matters. Handling labour litigation of the Company and its affiliates pan India. Briefing external counsels on the matters and strategizing for existing litigations. Appearing from time to time before conciliation officers, labour commissioners and other authorities on behalf of the Company. Support in filing of writ petitions, appeals, stay, follow up with external counsels. Maintaining master lists of all the labour cases.
• Provide advice to HR on day-to-day employee matters. Draft necessary letters, pleadings, notices and other documents in relation to / addressed to employees.
• Compliance and Investigation Matters: Providing support in drawing remediation plans and guidance to the teams for internal investigations of the company involving labour/ HR related issues. Remediation letters for employee related investigations including SCNs, termination letters, warning letters and any other matter as required by the Company.
• Contracts vetting, review and finalization for the business functions.
• Co-ordinating with internal and external stakeholders including the HR department and various internal Company departments. Support to Business and Enabling Functions.
• Maintaining legal repositories and trackers pertaining to contracts and all litigations of the Company.

Skills Required

- Law graduate with relevant work experience between 5 to 10 years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated success in managing and litigating complex cases
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
