Assignment Details

We are a VC-funded healthcare services startup operating in 4 cities currently - Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Trivandrum. We are looking to expand aggressively to other geographies and are looking for a seasoned consultant who can help us develop a playbook for the same. This will involve:

* Assessing the learnings from the current markets based on the context and execution successes - identifying what is working well vs needs focus
* Analysing the profitability of the business and the various products/revenue streams - overall and by market. Determining which segments are attractive based on parameters including (a) competitive intensity, (b) entry barriers, (c) sustainability and (d) margin profile
* Evaluating additional cities for expansion and prioritising the top focus geographies jointly with senior management based on
- overall opportunity
- opportunity for key revenue streams (incl. competition)
- force ranking cities in order of priority for the business
* Helping develop growth projections for the next 3-5 years
* Developing expansion 'playbooks' that provides new market managers the toolkit to increase their effectiveness and shorten the path to profitability.

The project will be delivered by a team and the senior consultant will be supported by an associate to drive the analytics.

Skills Required

* Experience delivering on similar growth strategy projects in an international consulting firm are a must
* Experience in healthcare will be a plus
* Startup experience will be a plus
* Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize, pull together a compelling story
* Ability to work with and facilitate interactions with key stakeholders
