Our client, a consumer products firm, is looking to engage with a strategy consultant to drive a Category Landscaping of the skincare domain in India to identify white spaces that they could potentially enter (Online Skincare Brand)
Key responsibilities include:
1. Identify the major players in the skincare segment in India and benchmark them against parameters: Ayurveda vs Natural, Application vs Intake, Presence, Ranking etc
2. Map the segment exhaustively to understand product gaps from a competition perspective
3. Develop a thorough understanding of the consumer insights wrt the skincare domain-
- who are they
- demand behaviour
- purchase behaviour
- other perspectives
4. Basis the category landscape, identify 2-3 potential gaps and develop detailed propositions and ideas for the company to explore. Map and plot the propositions against the existing market to highlight USP
5. Working with the firm's stakeholders to discuss, elaborate and close out on one most suitable, profitable and viable opportunity to pursue and build the brand
This project would require full time support for a duration of 8 weeks
1. Full understanding of the pulse of the customer in the personal care products segment
2. Prior knowledge about the skincare segment would be a plus
3. Hands on experience in industry/ category landscaping
4. Ability to gather additional customer insights and behaviour, apart from prior knowledge
5. Should have a forward thinking outlook- Understanding of how online platforms, ecommerce channels could be leveraged
6. Stakeholder management
7. Excellent interpersonal skills
