Assignment Details

Our client, a top tier management consulting firm, is looking to engage with a Senior Manager in the procurement functionality for one of their construction projects based in Oman.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing the category strategy for the major categories
2. Leading contract negotiations on behalf of the client in an efficient manner
3. Developing effective supplier relationships keeping in mind the long term
objectives
4. Defining operational procedures to improve the efficiency of the Procurement
function
5. Developing tight implementation plans for the key initiatives

Note: The project will be based entirely in Oman and will require a full time, on-site support from the consultant. Fly backs will be taken care by the client.

Skills Required

1. At least 1 year of experience in the Middle East;
2. Ideal candidate would have worked in the contracting industry with some of the
leading contracting companies such as L&T, Shapoorji, etc.
3. Ideal candidate has experience with procurement of external equipment, sub-
contracting of services, MEP, building material
