Assignment Details

Our client, a top tier management consulting firm is looking to engage with an IT Consultant who can help analysis of complex IT application landscapes and optimization of IT architectures to address current and future business aspirations, optimization of development processes and Solution Architecture.

Work will involve:
i) Articulate trade-offs and drive high-impact technology decisions on topics including (but not limited to) IaaS/PaaS providers, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and commercial vs. open-source software.
ii) Define IT strategies, architecture solutions and apply your technical know-how and understanding of business context.
iii) Approaches to managing Architectural debt, Architecture governance and evolution in practice.
iv) Create methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, DC/DR management and change control
v) Will be viewed as a deep technical expert by clients as well as within company – should engage senior stakeholders (CIO and below) independently on technical topics.

The project will be for a duration of 3 months in Chennai requiring full time capacity.

Skills Required

-7+ years of experience working as solution architect / technical architect, technical project manager, software developer or technology consultant
-PG degree with above-average academic performance in a mathematical-scientific field, information technology, or business administration
-Deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS solutions like AWS, Azure, HANA Enterprise cloud platform etc., for hosting the technology solutions across domains
-Ability to evaluate various IT infra options e.g. On-premise vs IaaS vs PaaS vs SaaS; private vs public cloud etc., and make recommendation for the selection of the right solutions, and back them with strong technical rationale customized for the client context.
-Experienced in designing & handing complex highly available, scalable, resilient, fault tolerant, performant architecture for zero business downtime & executing at enterprise scale.
-Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices such as events, synchronous vs. asynchronous
-Hands-on exposure to architecting digital solutions covering mobile banking, e-commerce, omnichannel etc. is preferable
-Have experience with, and understand how to lead, legacy integration and remediation (facades, strangler approaches, et. al.)
-Understanding of common development methods and tools DevOps practices and Continuous Improvement
-Experience in successful implementation of Cloud Adoption strategy, Landing Zone Architecture across all major CSP (AWS, GCP)
-Prior IT consulting experience or prior banking IT experience preferable
