Our client, a leading management consulting firm, is looking to engage with a Supply Chain & Logistics Management Expert having prior experience working for industrial groups, heavy metals industry or Automotive industry.
Consultant specializing in Supply Chain Digitization, Advanced Planning Systems and Processes to drive digital transformation for a leading metals producer in India.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conceptualize and articulate digitization strategy in line with the business priorities across
the entire value chain (Planning, Sourcing, Production and Distribution)
2. Develop detailed concept notes on digitization initiatives with clearly defined milestones and
phasing.
3. Bring in cross-industry best practices in Supply Chain to drive service, cost efficiency and
capital optimization.
4. Stakeholder alignment (IT and Business stakeholders) on digitization initiatives with
articulation of the concept, relevance, and case for change.
5. Work with the data science / system integration teams on landing the requirements and
program management of said digital initiatives
Skills Required
- At least 6+ years in a supply chain advisory role with Tier 1 / 2 consulting firms such as MBB, Accenture, IBM, EY (or) Strategy / Supply chain role with leading industrial products supply chains preferable
- Cross-industry experience in Supply Chains
- Deep understanding of E2E Supply Chain processes – Planning (Demand Planning, Demand
Management, Supply & Production Planning, Operational Planning), Sourcing, Logistics &
Distribution.
- Exposure to SAP ECC / S4 HANA and one or more advanced planning solutions such as SAP
IBP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, O9 would be good
- Exposure to Advanced Analytics (AI/ML) and Operations Research (Mathematical
Programming / Constraint Programming) techniques in Supply Chain.
- Exposure to Supply Chain Digitization constructs such as Digital Twin, Autonomous Systems
etc.
- MBA from tier 1 colleges is a must
- Experience of SCM in the industrial goods sector is preferable.
- Experience in consulting projects, or a combination of experience in consulting and industry supply chain/logistics roles ( in a company buying SCM / L services from others, or from a company selling such services.)
-Experience with digital interventions – planning tools or analytics – is preferable.
