Assignment Details

Our client, a leading management consultancy, is looking for an independent consultant with expertise in Java full stack, Database and Infrastructure who can deliver the following responsibilities:

- Should be deployed onsite for an expected duration of around 8-10 weeks
- Develop a deep understanding of existing GeM architecture (including documentation – tech requirement design, testing templates with screen shot) mapping services to application components
- Identify interdependencies between application components and how components have been sequenced and structured
- Perform code reviews, lock/unlock, IOPS and performance modules
- Identify sample for code review and perform code quality assessment for selected sample
- Identify pain points in current platform and find root causes
- Assess backend queries which have been deployed in the current architecture
- Identify potential infrastructure issues (sizing, architecture etc.) related to portal under performance – evaluate the current sizing – for backend servers, databases and caches
- Identify and assess API calls structure for potential gaps

Skills Required

Qualification:
- MS/ME/MTech/BTech/equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field from a top Tier institutions
- TOGAF/equivalent enterprise architecture certification preferred
Experience:
- 8+ years in software engineering and/or product development, including design and development of major software and/or systems architecture for large engagements preferably in e-commerce set-up
- Should be having extensive experience in PHP and Java based back-end technologies & web development, testing and deployment
- Experience of working with structured and unstructured databases for e.g., MySQL, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL databases
- Experience of integrating the front and backend as well as development of webservices/ APIs for micro-services based modular applications – API calls design and development, integration implementation and testing
- Sound knowledge and experience of indexing, data schema build, query design
- Should have worked extensively on performance-based coding in case of multiple concurrent users using the application components
- Should possess extensive detailed working knowledge and acumen in the enterprise architecture best practices, including, but not limited to, logical and physical data architectures on public cloud, network communications, operating systems, applications, database servers, application servers, web servers, server network and storage performance, middleware, server and storage virtualization & capacity planning.
- Should have experience in designing solution architecture for purely cloud-based enterprise solutions as well would prefer experience of hosting the apps on govt. cloud
- Should be having a deep experience of architecture governance and applying DevOps and agile principles to architecture standards
- Demonstrated ability to derive high-level architecture diagrams and technical designs, FRS, use cases and design patterns
- Experience in load testing, concurrency assessment, cloud infra sizing preferred
- Should have worked extensively in deploying the app components on cloud – well versed with deployment on AWS/GCP/Govt cloud
- Should have working knowledge for open source specially Git and GitHub communities
