Assignment Details

The Centre for Social and Behavior Change (CSBC) is undertaking a research project in New Delhi, India to support the Northern Railways in identifying interventions for improving cleanliness and sanitation outcomes at platforms and in train coaches. The Consultant based out of New Delhi will support CSBC in facilitating in-field research and liaisoning with Government and private stakeholders as necessary for the project in the specified duration. The Consultant will be responsible for the following during his/her association with Centre for Social and Behaviour Change (CSBC):

Responsibilities:
- Coordinating field experiments in New Delhi and regularly documenting and communicating progress and challenges with the CSBC Delhi team
- Working closely with Railway authorities to ensure smooth implementation of study; identify and communicate progress and challenges to railway authorities regularly and respond to any requests from government officials in alignment with CSBC team
- Represent CSBC at Northern Railways and facilitate programmatic and administrative coordination between the two
- Provide any programmatic and administrative support as necessary to CSBC in New Delhi

This role requires travel to the field based on work demand.

Skills Required

- Should have at least 5 years of experience of working and coordinating with Government authorities
- Should have experience in coordinating field work and implementation with an NGO
- Should be good with verbal and written communication
- Should have proficiency in English and strong proficiency in Hindi (written and verbal)
- Should have basic proficiency in MS office especially MS Word, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel, Google doc file system
- Prior knowledge and experience of working in behaviour change projects is an advantage
- 3-5 years of experience in managing diverse teams
