The Centre for Social and Behavior Change (CSBC) is undertaking a research project to support the Northern Railways, Government of India in identifying interventions for improving cleanliness and sanitation outcomes at platforms and in train coaches.

The Consultant based out of New Delhi will provide strategic and operational support towards the successful completion of this project until study findings are presented to Northern Railways. The Consultant will be responsible for end to end project management include work planning and alignment with stakeholders on the same, managing partner agencies on this project, being the main point of contact on the project, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. Responsibilities also include the following during his/her association with CSBC:

Responsibilities:
- Innovate and strategize interventions to address the behavioural challenge identified
- Work with research and design teams in CSBC to design field experiments to test interventions
- Keeping complete oversight of the project and coordinate all activities such as field testing under the project, liasoning with all stakeholders and regularly communicating challenges and progress to internal leadership
- Work closely with the Northern Railways headquarters in Delhi as necessary to ensure smooth roll-out and completion of the project
- Travel to Moradabad or any other destination as identified under this project in UP to facilitate and monitor field progress and communicate effectively with local Government officials and partner agencies
- Effectively solve for day to day issues that arise in the duration of the project
- Represent CSBC in consultation with internal leadership at various forums relevant to the project such as government meetings, partner meetings etc
- Analyse data and present all key milestones as decided in consultation with internal leadership from time to time in the duration of the project
- Advocate for CSBC’s work with government and partners as and when required
- Provide any programmatic or administrative support as necessary to CSBC under this project

This role requires travel to the field based on work demand.

Skills Required

- Should have at least 7 years of experience of working in the development sector on projects with reputed organizations
- Should have experience in managing field work and closely collaborating with the Government
- Should have basic knowledge of in-field research tools and processes
- Should be proficient in written and verbal communication (both Hindi and English)
- Should have strong proficiency in all tools of MS Office and knowledge of other research tools such as Stata, SPSS etc is a plus
- Prior knowledge and experience of working in behaviour change projects is an advantage
