Assignment Details

The organisation is looking to scale back some of its field programs hence requires a senior HR consultant than can help manage the restructuring process and the resultant redundancies. The consultant will project manage the people element through change, engaging key stakeholders throughout and ensuring compliance with legal obligations as well as our values.
The responsibilities will include:-
• To develop and implement the restructure and redundancy plan (including consultation, notice period and exit management) for programs identified for scaling back.
• Coach, support and develop managers to manage people related issues and drive a culture of management ownership of the people agenda.
• Ensure all employee relations issues are managed professionally and commercially, and in a timely manner.
• Manage projects/ provide HR support to business projects that arise as part of the planned restructure, ensuring quality and timeliness of delivery.
• Work with country management teams to proactively drive employee engagement at a time of change.
• Support recruitment of roles, undertaking behaviour based interviews for roles, and advising on recruitment strategies as needed.

The senior consultant will report to the Director of HR(London)/ Country Director (India)

Skills Required

• Broad generalist HR skills, developed at a senior level with demonstrated high proficiency in handling employee relations issues
• Experience of business partnering at a strategic and operational level
• Clear and expert level understanding of employment law obligations
• Experience of leading or supporting change, e.g. restructures /organisational change projects
• Strong influencing/interpersonal skills, based on passion about people and their contribution to business success
• Must demonstrate strong project management capabilities and a broad understanding of business methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Experience of working within a large or complex organization or an international organisation with field operations preferred.
• Pragmatic and organized in scoping projects and managing deadlines.
• Able to listen deeply.
• Values driven, demonstrates an authentic leadership style
• Relationship builder creative positive working relationships with others and credible with all stakeholders.
• High customer service ethic.
