Our client, a leading online property company is looking to engage with a Consultant in pricing, who could drive and support a pricing project for one of our portfolio companies in South East Asia.
1. Undertake a diagnosis of the business and its pricing maturity/practices. Key outcomes expected from the diagnosis:
a) Preliminary hypotheses around specific areas of pricing intervention and approximate timeline to realize benefit
b) Quantification of size-of-prize (in terms of revenue and EBITDA impact)
c) Identification, separation and quantification of quick-win moves vs. longer term wins
2. Detail the specific initiatives around the quick-win and longer-term wins – specific execution plan, capability build / tools required, investments and returns/payback case
3. Work jointly with the portfolio company pricing and product teams to align the implementation plan with the senior management / board
4. (Later) work with the marketplace team to drive implementation of initiatives
-This engagement would be a freelance project role reporting to the Head of Marketplace directly.
-Preference for Singapore. Remote work would be considered for the right candidate with paid travels to Singapore, as needed.
-Preference for full-time. Part–time considered for the right candidate.
Duration of engagement:
4-week diagnostic, to start with
3 – 6 months, subsequent strategy and execution
-Must-have background/experience: Relevant experience in devising pricing strategy and on-ground in online marketplaces/platforms is a must.
-Evidence of tangible commercial delivery is a must
-Seniority: Mid-level Manager/Project Leader preferred – able to independently lead people and own a program of work
