Assignment Details

Our client, a leading not-for-profit global foundation is looking for a Chief Operating Officer for one of their investee companies in the skilling and staffing sector:

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set clear objectives, priorities, and action plans for skilling and staffing verticals.

Financial Stewardship:
- Oversee financial operations, closely monitoring and managing P&L for each business vertical.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement to ensure sustainability.

Operational Excellence:
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams across skilling and staffing verticals to ensure seamless execution of strategies.
- Roll up their sleeves and actively engage with teams, driving hands-on participation and fostering a culture of teamwork.

Client Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with business development teams to maintain strong relationships with key clients and identify avenues for potential growth and collaboration.

- Leading alongside the promoters in the company’s upcoming fundraiser

Location: Bangalore
Capacity: Full time, onsite

Skills Required

- Proven track record of 15+ years in leadership roles, with significant experience in operations, business development, fundraising and financial management, skilling, staffing
- Hands-on experience with people-tech (running large skilling org, staffing /contracting org in profit space)
-Worked in senior positions on job boards like - Naukri / Monster / Apnaa / Work India / Awign / Better Place / Gig space/Addeco, Kelly, Randstad, Teamlease
-Overall strong operational metrics exp along with a focus on sustainability and profitability
- Prior experience in staffing, skilling, or related industries
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, P&L, and drive profitability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.
- Proven experience in fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business growth.
- Experience in fundraising and investor relations
