Our client is a leading not-for-profit health organization that implements focused initiatives for marginalized communities. They have a USAID-funded program for which they want to engage with a consultant who can be responsible for leading strategic communication and curating knowledge products to support insights for learning and maintain relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Documentation: Create high-quality documentation outputs to tell the USAID Impact story to a range of domestic and international audiences, through a variety of communication channels. Synthesize large volumes of data to develop and communicate key messages in line with USAID priorities.
2. Knowledge Management: Conceptualize, collect and maintain a repository of success stories, impact narratives and best practices from the USAID team and partners that can be shared on a need basis.
3. Outreach and sharing: Contribute to communication plans with support in the form of strategies and tactical plans, written pieces, design support, presentations, and key stakeholder meetings with USAID internal and external audiences.
Collaboration: Work closely with teams at USAID, Streamlining & multiplying efforts on communication
NOTE: The duration of the project will be around 3-4 months, but it will be subject to extension till upto 12 months.
- Ability to understand and practise communication with minimum 10 years of progressive experience in health and the development sector
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement in the non-profit space
- Strong understanding of USAID/donor communications protocols and systems
- Excellent writing skills for different audiences and platforms
- Excellent presentation skills
- Understanding of relevant channels to disseminate content, including social, digital, and traditional media
- Proficient in word processing, design softwares and website management
