Assignment Details

Our client, a leading Non-Profit Organization, is looking to engage with a Research Consultant who will play a pivotal role in driving and leading research projects in collaboration with renowned academic and research institutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Research Project Leadership: Take charge of research projects, overseeing their design, resource assembly, and implementation. Collaborate with experts and team members to ensure successful project execution.
2. Team Development: Strengthen and mentor the client team, nurturing younger colleagues and sharing your expertise to enhance the organization's overall skills.
3. Project Management: Handle project management tasks, including financial planning, accounting, fundraising, and reporting to donors and stakeholders.
4. Output Creation: Produce academic and practical outputs, such as journal articles, blogs, practice inputs, and policy contributions.
5. Collaboration: Engage with external stakeholders, central functions, and state teams as required to foster collaborative efforts and knowledge sharing.

Skills Required

- Ph.D. in Economics or any other social science discipline from a reputable institution (Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D.s may also be considered, provided they agree to provide the degree within a reasonable period as per the University's rules)
- 5+ years of relevant research experience (concurrent with, prior to, or after attaining the Ph.D. degree) in the social sector with a solid understanding of development in the field and the world of research.
- Possess expertise in survey methodologies, descriptive and inferential statistics, and econometrics.
- Proficient in working with statistical software like R, SPSS, or Stata.
- Experience in using online search techniques to source data, datasets, academic papers, and reports.
- Possess expert-level knowledge of socio-economic datasets, including NSS, Economic Census, Agriculture Census, and Education Datasets.
- Capable of producing high-quality and readable strategy notes, research summaries, report summaries, and deep analytical notes.
- Demonstrate creative thinking abilities and the use of various analytical tools and techniques for high-quality data analysis.
- Understand Indian government policies, programs, and budget at the Union and State/UTs levels.
