Our client, world's leading Pharmaceutical firm is looking to engage with a legal consultant who understands and has worked on section 138 matters.

Responsibilities -

- Coordinate with CFAs across India and obtain Cheque Return Advices.
Issue Legal notice to defaulting parties within the stipulated time frame.
- Co-ordinate with CFAs, National Sales Managers and field staff for effective follow up and ensure receipt of dues.
- Co-ordinate with CFA, National Sales Managers, Business Unit heads & Finance to initiate legal action against defaulting parties
- Co-ordinate with Advocates PAN India to file criminal and/or Civil proceedings in appropriate jurisdiction.
- Recommend appointment of local Advocates, and approval for payment of their bill
- Follow up with CFAs, local Advocates on status of pending legal proceedings, obtain update on hearings, etc.
- Maintain a database of all pending proceedings and update the same from time to time in co-ordination with CFAs and local Advocates.
- Consider out-of-court settlement proposed by defaulting parties.
- Review high value pending matters and take effective steps for early hearing / outcome.
- Interact with statutory auditors for audit queries, etc.

Skills Required

- Bachelor's degree in law.
- Experience in the law field.
- Strong knowledge of section 138 matters.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and individually.
