Assignment Details

Our client, a leading Management Consultancy, is looking to engage with Procurement consultants from the Pharmaceutical domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the overall supplier relationship for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). This includes the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with suppliers. This includes representing the business at supplier meetings and conferences
- Support External Manufacturing partner projects to procure API when Impax is responsible for providing the API.
- Making quotation study for each purchase Request in order to choose the best offer and best quality
- Issue the purchasing orders (Local or imported) and make follow up till arrivals within Lead time and approvals
- Follow up with warehouse department to receive and Close all open Po
- Review and update Approved Vendor List and approved source list
- Maintaining working relationships and communication with current suppliers to pressure them to get lower prices and speed of delivery
- Identification of potential suppliers and assessing their suitability as per the company policy.
- Negotiation on Prices, payment terms, supply part with vendors.
- Negotiates pricing and contracts with suppliers to obtain the high quality material at best possible total cost and best outcome.

Skills Required

- Hands on experience of working in Procurement domain in pharmaceutical industry
- Domain expertise in sourcing essential raw materials/goods from various
suppliers and distribution networks
- Prior experience in drafting and implementing vendor management policies is a must
- Strong communications and writing skills to develop ready to use high-quality documents
