Assignment Details

Our client, a leading management consulting firm, is looking to engage with a Telecom solutions architect consultant who can work with the team for Technical due diligence on an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator)

Key Responsibilities:

IT stack & systems assessment for an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator):

a. Overall architecture review and comparison to reference / best-in-class telco/MVNO architectures
b. Architecture characterization e.g.:
* Best of breed vs. key vendor(s) vs. homegrown.
* Standard / off the shelf vs. extensive customization
* Integrations / inter-dependencies of key systems and components
* What (if any) IP is owned by the company?
c. Future proof – how future proofs are the key systems and architectural elements
d. Scalability – can it support planned growth? At what point what elements will require significant investments?
e. Portability – can the set-up be easily replicated in new markets or does it require significant additions/customization (e.g., to set up billing, provisioning, etc.)? What would be the magnitude of investment required?

Note: This project requires remote support for a duration of around 2 weeks.

Skills Required

1. Hands-on experience in Telecom Solutions Architect with domain knowledge & expertise of Telco IT architectures, especially for MVNOs
2. Proficiency in telco IT solutions and architecture (i.e., CRM/BSS/OSS)
3. Previously worked with or has a major focus on regional/international telecom operators (MNO or MVNO), Telecom infrastructure suppliers (Huawei, Ericsson, ZTE)
