Assignment Details

Our client is a top 3 management consultancy looking for a PMO consultant who can program manage an ongoing complex project to consolidate and complete the project. They are serving a client on a large project with different teams / stakeholders involved with tight deadlines and multiple responsibilities/dependencies.

The role will include:
1. Systematically structure/manage the project by getting inputs, consolidating and highlighting actions/bottlenecks and progress to all the parties (including senior stakeholders)
2. Create a Robust Project Management Methodology
3. Create metrics for mapping the progress of each project
4. Provide tools/enablement for managing PMO
5. Analyse risk and instigate avoidance activities. Establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating corrective action

The project will be based out of Doha, Qatar.

Skills Required

1. Consulting experience at a top management consulting firm
2.The candidate should have experience of managing and driving large projects / initiatives
3. Would be required to demonstrate logical thinking, good numeric abilities, domain understanding and strong interpersonal skills
4. Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
5. Strong client management skills are expected
6. Structured thinking approach
7. Be assertive/directive in getting inputs and communicating actions for different levels of stakeholders (senior leadership and various middle managers).
8. Experience in oil & gas (or any large industry), supply chain, procurement practices will be a plus
