A leading Japanese education MNC focusing on correspondence education and publishing
Our client - a Japanese Education Conglomerate is planning a research for a K-12 market in India. The consultant will be led and guided by a senior Consultant who will be leading this project and delivering the same after collating and synthesizing the entire research.
The support would involve:
- Update on the market, competitors’ strategies, products and offerings e.g. implication of recent introduction of CUCET.
i. Major changes and/or disruptions in B2S/B2S2C markets e.g. many NEP related measures ex early introduction of CUCET
ii. Any significant new entrants in student assessments, self-learning content, student coaching/tutoring market
iii. Any significant changes in the strategies, offerings etc of key competitors’ in the above segment
iv. Any significant changes in pricing, bundling, type and nature of interventions
both by existing and emerging players.
- Enable sales to scale-up to 10X in 2022-2023 across major regions of India (e.g. North, South, West, Central etc) and partnerships and specific partners necessary to achieve the same (e.g.
channel partners, business advisory board etc).
i. Approach that could work for chains of schools to buy across regions
ii. Key tie-ups necessary to open doors and convert; suggested list and options to onboard
iii. Key partnerships on the ground to actively promote and sell; priority partner
types & names, terms and conditions under which each of these arrangements work etc
- Size the tutoring & coaching market in India; the key business models both in B2C and B2S2C space; including the traditional as well as edtech offerings; the key success factors &
upcoming evolution of the model; and potential white spaces in the market (in terms of content, delivery approach, new business models etc).
i. Models and sizing across B2C & B2S2C; both traditional and emerging edtechs; pricing and margins
ii. New models evolution over time, their traction and expected evolution going forward especially in view of disruptions such as covid
iii. Key success factors and challenges
iv. Any existing or emerging white spaces especially in terms of evolving consumer demand
It is an estimated 6 week project with a likely start this week.
