The client a leading Indian University, they are looking for a passionate professional to lead the Communications function. This role is tasked with the responsibility to build image and reputation of the Centre with key stakeholder groups including donors, implementing partners, academic partners, Government authorities, Behavior Science KOLs and the public at large. Reporting in to the Centre Director, the Communications Manager will devise and execute high impact, innovative communication strategies for the Centre’s projects and research papers; and serve as a key point of contact with policy stakeholders, media partners, and others. The role is ideal for a seasoned communications professional with outstanding written, verbal, and content skills whose keen on exploring career prospects within the development space.
The Responsibilities will include:
1)Develop and implement innovative communication plans to showcase client's projects to media, central and state level policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders.
2)Generative positive media coverage for the centers and its projects.
3)Lead the effort on entry submissions and award nominations for leading Behavior Science and Development forums and journals globally.
1)Oversee hiring and work collaboratively with external communication agencies (media, creative, PR, digital, graphic design, printers) to achieve day to day deliverables.
2)Take the lead on logistics management for organizing marquee events like workshops, panel discussions, India visits of renowned speakers, public lectures etc.
c)Content management & internal communications
1)Develop and update content for various internal communication channels, including the Centre’s social media handles, newsletters, videos, pod-casts etc.
2)Developing marketing material for the Centre (brochures, pitch packs etc.) as and when required.
The project will be based out the client's office in New Delhi.
1)Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in mass communication; Master’s degree is preferred.
2)At least 8-10 years of relevant communications experience
3)Prior experience in digital / social media marketing is an added advantage.
4)Someone who has a good hold on content and content marketing.
5)Outstanding networking, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
6)Ability to communicate complex research findings for stakeholders, in compelling written and verbal formats.
7)Tech-savvy, adaptable and creative bent of mind. Any prior experience using project management or communications tools or design software would be beneficial.
