Assignment Details

Our client, an Indian Pharmaceutical Company, is looking to engage with a Business Development consultant who will be responsible to identify new
opportunities in the Med-Tech space. Med-tech includes products which use medical technology to improve people's health by preventing, diagnosing, monitoring, and treating disease. The BD Consultant will work on this project for 1-3 months period wherein he/she will strive to map the devices landscape, identify differentiated devices synergistic to the client's business, collaborate with leading educational institutes, start-ups, device companies to identify new-age opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Identify patient and doctor needs, gaps in current treatment methodologies, products, and services proposition in med-tech space in chronic therapy areas (eg. Nephrology, Cardio, Diabetes , Rheumatology management, etc.)
2. Identify differentiated diagnostic devices in chronic therapy areas that can be in-licensed by the client
3. Define targets for partnership, build the business case, & design the most appropriate go-to-market strategy
4. Kickstart the go-to-market strategy
5. Make deals happen, liaison with all internal and external stakeholders
6. Be the primary Point of Contact and work closely with the team to align action plans
7. Communicate clearly the progress of weekly/monthly objectives to internal stakeholders; identify areas of concern and assist in generating solutions

Duration:

o Phase1: Identification of 1st set of diagnostic devices (1month)
o Phase2: Design and execution of partnership (2 months) & identification of next step of devices

Skills Required

1. >5 years of Experience in medical devices / med-tech sector- large device/diagnostic companies or experience in dealing with relevant start-ups innovating in the field of diagnostics or diagnostic devices in the Indian/global market
2. Experience in creating partnerships/alliances with startups as need be, would be preferred.
3. Deep knowledge and practical understanding of MedTech products/ services in Chronic Therapies specially Nephrology, Cardio, Diabeto, Rheuma
4. Deep knowledge and practical understanding of MedTech products/ service providers / sources – India and abroad (Israel / USA etc.) - Incubators/ Accelerators/ Innovation hubs/ Universities/ Private or government supported bodies operating in this space
5. Knowledge of and Connect with other Stakeholders in the Medtech eco-system
