Assignment Details

Our client is Centre for Social and Behaviour Change (CSBC) at Ashoka University which was set up through a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. They are looking to engage with an HR consultant who will be responsible for carrying out the Centre’s plans to oversee & train internal CSBC staff for skill development.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Develop an understanding of the projects areas such as maternal health, nutrition, family planning etc. from the research and policy perspectives by:
a. Conducting literature reviews to deepen understanding of the
behavioral science evidence base for identified project areas
b. Leading formative research / qualitative research studies in the field
c. Analyzing and synthesize findings from different sources to diagnose
behavioral challenges
2. Design and test behavioral solutions to address complex development problems, by:
a. Supporting in the organization of design workshops with key
stakeholders
b. Prototyping intervention ideas to create well-defined intervention
models
c. Executing lab and field experiments to test the effectiveness of
interventions and to iterate for scale
3. Work closely with different teams to respond to project needs like preparation of project documents, support in stakeholder and knowledge management, etc.

NOTE: This is a full-time role based out of Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

Skills Required

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, social sciences, public policy, sociology, or related fields
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience in an analytical, quantitative or policy role
- Experience with conducting primary research / fieldwork in peri-urban/rural India
- Ability to manage and respond to varied tasks in a quick and efficient manner
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills – as well as critical and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to deal with unstructured and changing environments
- An understanding of experimental research methods would be an advantage
- Familiarity with statistical software packages such as Stata, R, MatLab, SAS etc. and quantitative analysis would be an advantage
- Fluency in English and Hindi (Required)
