Assignment Details

Our Client is a leading University and Higher Education group from India. They're Looking to engage with a Research Consultant for their Social Impact and Philanthropy department.

The client is looking for a motivated research consultant with solid quantitative research skills to help them expand their research on philanthropy and giving in India.

Key Responsibilities -
1 Identify relevant data and datasets for issues and projects as the in-house quantitative expert
2. Collate and analyse primary and secondary data independently using relevant software
3. Co-create, design and lead in-house research projects from start to finish
4. Commission, manage and deliver external research projects in a timely manner. 5. Manage relationships with independent contractors, consultants and research partners
6. Write reports, research papers and long form articles.
7. Identify and engage relevant stakeholders for executing research programmes
8. Support the Research Director with business development and institutional partnerships
9. Present the research at webinars, seminars and conferences

Skills Required

1. The candidate should have the flexibility to work on multiple projects, ability to work in a fast moving and dynamic environment, display a natural aptitude for primary and secondary research, and be excited to join a young and dynamic team.
2. The consultant should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a social science subject that includes quantitative methods and 7+ year of relevant work experience, or a PhD in a relevant field together with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
3. The candidate should have experience working with large datasets, be comfortable undertaking large-scale primary surveys, and be able to creatively consider novel sources of data in philanthropy and giving - an area of research with limited availability of data.
4. Since part of the role will involve managing external partners undertaking research, the candidate should have some experience in managing research teams or external partners, and be comfortable working with multiple research partners.
5. Deep understanding of the development sector and its challenges in India.
6. Experience in undertaking research on the social sector in India. Solid quantitative research skills
7. Significant experience in undertaking quantitative research
8. Experience in leading research and managing research teams or research partners
9. Ability to manage, and engage with, multiple external research partners
10. Ability to work remotely and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
11. Enjoys working in a dynamic and expanding team
12. Right to work in India
