Our client, a leading impact investment firm is looking to engage with a Consultant to join their Marketing and Communications team, focused on Brand Communications at a firm level to work alongside Investment Team (Initiative) Communications and reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
The consultant will focus on firm-level branding, amplifying the strategy and the ‘whole of the firm’s work’ while also helping build communities and running points on marketing operations. Take full ownership of several activities throughout the year and have an opportunity to interact closely with the firm’s leadership on an ongoing basis.
Key responsibilities:
1. Delivering new firm-level initiatives
- Identifying and delivering firm-level cross-cutting themed events
- Supporting firm-level flagship event
2. Amplification of firm strategy and “whole of the firm’s work”
- Identification and execution of opportunities for amplification of brand narrative across social, media as well as third-party partnerships
- End-to-end ownership of firm-level intellectual capital content creation e.g. investment theses, firm-level content (e.g. NHB research); Category 1 reports (e.g. SOAR)
- Identification of opportunities for, and execution of op-eds, blogs, and other allied content
3. Community Building
- Strengthening ONI’s visibility and deepening networks with key sets of stakeholders including the VC community, foundations, government, and key influencers through various formats like events, 1-1 meetings, topical workshops, etc.
4. Firm-level ops
- End-to-end management of website & allied assets e.g. microsites & alias inboxes
- Execution of all digital campaigns across SEO, LinkedIn et al + management of daily social media assets (excluding content creation for social for investees)
- Monitoring & reporting of podcast rollout and distribution
- End-to-end management of newsletters e.g. Vividh and proposed firm-level newsletter
- Partnering with Initiative Comms to finalize the content calendar
Capacity- Full time
Duration - 6 months
• An understanding of how marketing and communications can and must fundamentally deliver to business objectives
• Passionate about the power of communications and storytelling to create impact as well as create narratives that can highlight the potential of India’s Next Half Billion
• A commitment to exploring new ways of communicating with diverse audience cohorts while also sticking to first principles for all problem solving
• 4 to 6 years of experience with a preference for those in media, communications, marketing, brand or digital roles
• Understanding of the Next Half Billion audience and demonstrated ability to deliver communications or campaigns to the cohort would be preferable
• Deep strategic and analytical skills to evaluate the impact of firm level activities at a reputational as well as industry level
• Good communication skills – excellent writing and presentation skills; ability to communicate succinctly
• Good interpersonal skills – ability to work collaboratively with colleagues around the world
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities without disrupting core activities
