Our client, a leading healthcare organisation is building a team of seasoned Category Managers to develop and grow a new line of business in the modern retail format space across metros, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. This team will be tasked with working with senior management for 4-6 months to conceptualise and launch new lines of business.
Responsibilities:
1. Working with the stakeholders to scope out new business and product ideas - this will be based on what else can be retailed to the core customers, data on top selling categories in India/globally
2. Prioritising the top 3-5 categories and products to focus on for the next 2-3 years
3. Developing a partnership and strategic sourcing strategy to build the right portfolio of products in each category; crafting and closing key partnerships including pricing
4. Developing aggressive plans to launch the new products/categories, including monthly/quarterly targets and marketing plans
5. Work with the marketing and communication plans team to develop and implement online and offline marketing strategies to drive the new business lines
6. Review progress and iterate plans
7. Experiment with innovative strategies through pilots in select store, which can then be rolled out based on performance
8. Review overall performance at the end of 4-6 months and develop a longer term strategy and projections forthe next 2 years
9. Transition the products to the line organisation and ensure alignment on the key metrics and KPIs to be tracked
The project is based in Hyderabad for a duration of 6 months, involving full time capacity.
1. Domain expertise in category management, brand and product management is a must
2. Experience in FMCG/ Pharma space would be a plus
3. Should have led product launches and strategic business initiatives iin the past
4. Familiarity and experience with developing marketing plans incorporating the right mix of channels across online and offline
