Assignment Details

Our client, a major FMCG company, is looking to engage a Chemical Sourcing Manager

The project aims to relook all the current chemical sourcing in South Asia & work on optimised sourcing matrix to bring down the cost, MOQ rationalisation & optimise the inventory levels across sites.

Key responsibility areas include:
1 Develop strategic principles for sourcing network changes involving external manufacturing partners
2 Deliver the Best in class service at optimum cost
3 Minimise the inventory level
4 Prepare negotiation strategy
5 Develop database of suppliers in India who can meet client’s requirements
6 Evaluate commercial viability for sourcing the materials covering all cost elements

Success will be measured on key parameters like: Service OTIF, Cost reduction & Inventory reduction
The consultant will be expected to work with Purchase and Operations officers

Skills Required

* Proven experience in Procurement or Supply Chain with a Finance and chemical experience being a plus
* Strong Negotiation skills
* Self-starter mentality
* Strong analytical capabilities
* Experience in Cross Functional working
* Strong communications skills and ability to engage and influence others
* B.Tech/B.Sc in Chemicals or relevant science stream
