Assignment Details

Our client, a leading manufacturer of confectionary and pet food, is looking for a consultant who has hands on experience in zero based budgeting within FMCG domain - particularly while handling factory / plant finances.

Key responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for cost saving through ZBB approach/tools.
- Data crunching and analysis to find out opportunity areas from ZBB lens.
- Evaluate the opportunities by conducting industry analysis and bringing in external immersion
- Facilitate cross functional design thinking workshops and support business teams in carrying out assessment and prioritization of initiatives through defined matrix.
- Define Picture of Success and detail out scope of work
- Present business case and ensure requisite approvals
- Project plan and network preparation
- Lead/Partner implementation of the initiatives, deliver and handover to Business
- Co-piloting initiatives by ensuring coordination with multiple stakeholders across all levels of hierarchy and geography.
- Enabling smooth transition and change management.
- Providing end to end visibility of initiatives to the all the stakeholders through activity trackers, project status update decks and present Progress update to Steering Committee including timely progress reporting to Regional and Global teams (when required).
- Take accountability for projects by ensuring right team is deployed and managing the delivery of the projects
- Ensure successful completion of all stages of project lifecycle including solution development, User Testing, User training, Cutover and Go Live.
- Monitoring and tracking the benefits through control tower.
- Organize the design thinking workshops with Key Cost Owners to sharpen the benefits ambition across cost lines & identification of common agreed Saving goals.

Skills Required

- Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) or Charted Accountant.
- Certification in Project Management would be preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of Identifying and driving cost saving / zero based budgeting projects & experience of delivering end to end Cost Transformation Initiatives.
- Overall Business and RTM understanding of FMCG & prior Consulting experience would be preferred.
- Key Functional Competencies & Technical Skills required: Project Management Skills, Design Thinking, ZBB/Cost transformation experience, Benchmarking mindset, Workshop facilitation & Cross functional collaboration.
- A deep knowledge/hands on experience around key functions of FMCG (Sales, Marketing, Supply, Supply Chain) & Data Crunching and Analytical skills is preferred.
