Our client is looking to engage with a Lead Architect - Digital Engineering & Transformation
Lead Architect - Digital Engineering and Transformation assesses, uses technology to accelerate solution development aligned to the Digital Transformation roadmap, taking ownership of architecture, handling change requests
He/ She is responsible for:
1. Play a lead role in defining”current” and ”to-be” architecture and seamless integrations for strategic initiatives in retail and corporate lending applications and Integrations
2. Lead initiatives for customer service team, operations, risk, product teams across retail and corporate lending businesses
3. Designing an efficient, safe and secure architecture reducing the response time and increasing customer experience
4. Lead Digital Transformation development team that defines the architecture and in house development of a technology stack for enabling partnerships

Our client, is among the leading well-diversified non-banking financial services company in India. It offers customized solutions in areas of personal finance, mortgage finance, SME finance, corporate finance, wealth management, debt capital markets and loan syndication. It is registered with RBI as a systemically important non-deposit accepting non-banking finance company (“NBFC”) and is amongst the top five largest private diversified NBFCs in India based on AUM.
Department Context
Client require technology interventions that would enable them to drive growth and superior customer servicing capability, thereby, demanding quick turn-around on the technology solutions. The IT department the responsibility of ensuring data security, putting in place systems architecture and infra to support business needs, managing business-critical applications, integration of internal systems with those of banks, regulators and other external systems. It requires insight into fin-techs and tech giants entering financial services and enable the client to build an ecosystem to be at par with the new age competitors. From a profitability standpoint, the department has to consistently track cost vs utility metrics for all technology solutions deployed and ensure a healthy return on investment.
Job Context
This is a Techno functional role. Thus, a deep understanding of the customer requirements is required along with application of various technologies for the business need.
The primary focus is providing a solution that is scalable, robust and secure because it involves critical financial data of the customer. The architect needs to work closely with Internal Teams and External Vendors making sure that Integrations are delivered on time.
• Implemented WSO2 API Gateway, a robust and secure platform to host internal and external services for integration. This brought in a system that acts as a single entry point or interface for all interactions between core systems and third party channels. This has improved the security access of internal core systems and has helped restrict access to external integrators. It also led to
Around 150+ services have been hosted on this gateway and helped in seamless and smooth transition of implementation to post production support team.

• Work closely with business team and help design innovative products to give unsecured lending business (consumer as well as business lending) an edge over its competitors
• Make sure that all Vendors on boarded have an InfoSec clearance and their Services have cleared Security parameters defined at the Organization level
• Consistent follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all issues are anticipated and addressed on time; identify risks during integrations and their resolution with minimum cost and efforts
• Did more than 50+ API hosting’s on API Gateway. Maintaining and Publishing APIs / Web-services document that can be referred later for various internal and external integrations
• Worked and Implemented WSO2 API Gateway, earlier Internal teams had different servers hosting same services which were not able to handle API surge and failed, API Gateway eliminated the servers reducing the license cost as well as creating a single entry point for all vendor applications thus increasing the API manageability, as well as features such as metering and throttling and OAuth 2.0 Token implementation provided security to APIs from DOS (Denial of Services) attack.
• Integration with 3rd party service providers like NSDL, CIBIL, Perfios, Probe42 etc for Credit checks, PAN Validation, KYC validation, company records with internal core systems like loan origination and loan management systems led to automating many tedious and manual process making them straight through, reducing processing time to approximately 35% and improving customer experience
• Documenting process flow diagrams, architecture diagrams of all legacy applications and systems documenting in the form of flow charts, architecture and deployment diagrams which in future helps in getting a clear understanding of various integrations done in each system and can be used as a base for migrating to new systems and technology with ease.
Skills Required
Experience with Digital Engineering & Transformation and digital technologies such as RPA, Artificial Intelligence/ML, AR/VR, eCommerce.
- Ability to understand a variety of disruptive technology products and services that will guide Marketing (digital & eCom), Sales, Supply Chain and Enterprise processes.
- Technical experience in an IT programming development environment in Blue Prism, UI Path / Automation Anywhere.
- Expertise in low code and no code platforms to build end to end application
- Knowledge of Microsoft stack / Full stack experience.
- Hands-on development experience in programming languages / platforms / web technologies / frameworks.
Mobile App development experience will be an added advantage
