Our client, a leading social impact consulting firm, through the Revive Alliance, aims to offer products and services that will help improve the incomes and livelihoods of 10m workers and micro-entrepreneurs. To enable this they are focusing on specific industries that generate the maximum employment including textiles/apparel, ecommerce, creator economy etc.
They are looking for specialists who can help define the products and interventions that will have a maximum impact given these goals. These specialists are needed in Financial Inclusion space.
A core element of the Revive solution set is around providing access to financial services (e.g., credit, banking, insurance, etc) to the base of pyramid (BOP) households. We are looking for a Consultant who brings 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting or investing and also understands NBFCs and/or Microfinance to help them think through and facilitate the implementation of their financial inclusion roadmap.
The role will involve:
1. Help define the overall strategy and roadmap for financial inclusion for the target groups in conjunction with the senior team
2. Understand industry trends to identify potential areas for the development of new financial products and potential partners
3. Detail the products and services to be offered - by offering and by segment - in terms of value proposition, pricing, expected uptake
4. Outline a 3-year business plan that will help define the scale to be achieved and 5. What's needed to get there in terms of people and financial resources
6. Develop a high-level implementation approach with milestones with a focus on the first 12 months
Skills Required
1. Solid experience in an international consulting or investment firm is a must.
2. Prior experience on projects associated with financial inclusion and financial services is expected.
3. Exposure to the development and impact space and projects focused on the inclusion of SMEs, women, youth, and/or other marginalized groups globally will be a plus.
4. Excellent verbal and written communications, including the ability to develop materials for senior stakeholders.
5. Solid analytics skills.
