Assignment Details

The client is embarking a series of DMPA-SC market tests and country demonstrations in order to better understand how to introduce and support the use of self-injection of DMPA-SC in a way that best meets women and girl’s needs, as they themselves define them, as well as to appreciate the demand for self-injection when DMPA-SC is offered alongside a range of other methods.

- Review and finalize initial DMPA-SC market estimations for both private and public sectors – continue to amend as necessary over course of grant development
- Finalize private sector market test protocol
- Finalize public sector pilot introduction protocol
- Support development of RFPs, as necessary, and support the client teams to identify potential partners
- Prepare briefing materials for leadership to engage with government
- Review RFP proposals and provide detailed recommendations and guidance to the client for proposal improvement and partner capability assessment
- Support implementation of the private and public sector protocols
- Participate in kicking off grants with partners in partnership
- Support monitoring of grant implementation in partnership
- Support collaboration and coordination on the above across various teams, as required
- Regularly communicate and share information/progress with senior colleagues for incorporation into global DMPA-SC market test/country demonstration updates for internal use
- Regularly engage with senior stakeholders and keep the leadership aligned on all things market test in other countries

Expected deliverables:
• Finalized set of DMPA-SC market estimations
• Fleshed out concept notes to form basis for subsequent grants to support implementation of private and public sector protocols
• Monthly written reports on progress, challenges and next steps to be shared with senior stakeholders
• Other discreet products at the request of the project leads

Note - It is a 12 months project based in Delhi

Skills Required

- Familiarity with FP programming
- Previous experience of conducting private sector market test
- Understanding of FP partners in India
- Experience engaging with external stakeholders such as grantees and/or other market stakeholders
- Pharmaceutical and/or marketing background helpful
- Project management experience preferred
- Works well in teams
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Organised and structured
- Ability to synthesise data/information well to deliver clear and direct summaries/key findings
- Market research assessment/analyses capabilities
