Assignment Details
Our client, a leading development sector organization, is looking to engage with a consultant who can support the achievement of its family health portfolio targets related to behavior change over the next five years.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing clarity on the scope and scale of client's use of behavioral insights, involving the mapping of relevant evidence-based learning, articulating key challenges to behavior change at scale, approaches used so far, gaps in their portfolio to scale BC interventions;
2. Outlining the hypotheses to be tested/insights to be derived, the investments needed for demand side in the coming years for family planning (FP) /nutrition/routine immunization (RI) investments
3. Recommending options for the client to be fit for purpose to effectively deliver on output
4. Part-time advisory support to the client during the duration of the consultancy.
5. Reviewing the sufficiency and appropriateness of the client’s existing:
-strategy-related documents, including existing analysis of strategic priorities that guide the selection of investments
-scope and scale of investments (planned, in development, existing)-budget
allocation
6. Facilitating consultation with relevant teams on the initial findings of the review and revising the findings and conclusions as needed.
NOTE: The consultant/consultancy lead will report to the Deputy Director, Family Health and the project is based in New Delhi.
Skills Required
- Demonstrable international expertise in the full range of behavior change approaches and processes
- Thorough knowledge of the context relevant to the assignment: existing known behavioral insights, best practices, and lessons learned, current behavior change investments and evidence generation, partner landscape, and comparative advantage
- Experience of working for a foundation, donor, or similar organization
- Experience of designing, implementing and monitoring/evaluating development programs
- Oversight and/or leadership in the development and execution of program MLE needs
- Developing management arrangements within a matrixed team environment
