Assignment Details

A leading consulting firm is looking to engage with a steel manufacturing and operations consultant to support them on discovery in process improvement through digital levers in a steel plant for an ongoing client engagement

Responsibilities include:

1. Lead downstream process improvement in steel manufacturing and operations
2. Define project goals and implement strategies to achieve the same
3. Support in resource planning and allocation for basic materials
4. Track project performance according to metrics and take action to de-bottleneck any issues that come up
5. Coordinate with cross functional teams to make sure targets are being met

This is a 3 months project (extendable) requiring full time capacity and onsite support in Orissa

Skills Required

1. Prior experience in the operations and manufacturing front of the steel industry or metal and mining industry is a must
2. Hands on experience with the latest tools and technologies in steel operations.
3. Should have worked towards downstream process improvement in the steel industry
4. Ability to take ownership and drive others
5. Good communication and analysis skills
