It also manufactures novel biologics, as well as, biosimilar insulins and antibodies, which are sold in India as branded formulations. Their biosimilar products are also sold in both bulk and formulation forms in several emerging markets.

Assignment Details

Our client, a leading Indian biopharmaceutical company is looking to engage with a highly skilled an motivated Supply Chain New Product Launch Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the supply chain processes for new biosimilar products from R&D to Commercialization. This person will work in close partnership with the Project Management Office to ensure all Supply Chain activities are coordinated across Logistics, Supply Planning, Master Data Management, External Manufacturing and Demand

Major Deliverables:
 Develop and execute supply chain launch plans for new biosimilar products, including demand forecasting, inventory management, distribution, and logistics.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish product launch timelines and milestones, ensuring all launch activities are completed on time and within budget.
 Monitor supply chain performance metrics and KPIs, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
 Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure product availability, quality, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
 Manage relationships with Logistics to ensure third-party logistics providers, distributors, and other supply chain partners seamlessly execute the product launch and ongoing operations.
 Conduct regular supply chain risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
 Develop and maintain supply chain standard operating procedures and work instructions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
 Work with the commercial team to identify potential product supply chain issues and develop solutions to mitigate them.
 Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and stay informed on supply chain trends and best practices.

Skills Required

Skills Required are -
 Bachelor degree in supply chain management, business administration,
engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with specific
experience in new product launch for biologic or biosimilar products.
 Knowledge of supply chain best practices and experience with demand
forecasting, inventory management, distribution, and logistics.
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think
creatively and strategically.
 Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work
cross-functionally.
 Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing
priorities and deadlines.
 Experience with regulatory requirements for biosimilar products is a plus.
