A leading Indian biopharmaceutical company based in Bangalore.The Company manufactures generic active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) that are sold in over 120 countries across the globe, including the developed markets of the United States and Europe. It also manufactures novel biologics, as well as, biosimilar insulins and antibodies, which are sold in India as branded formulations. Their biosimilar products are also sold in both bulk and formulation forms in several emerging markets.
The organization is going through a major transformation to enable a very high growth in its business globally. As part of this transformation they are re-imagining and digitizing key HR processes to be able to attract, develop and retain top talent (national or international) across the organization.The primary objective of this assignment will be gaining an understanding of the organisation’s plans and strategic priorities to create and implement a robust Talent Strategy and related processes, policies and HR systems. The key components of Talent Strategy will include, Workforce Planning, Recruitment and Onboarding.The consultant will be expected to work in partnership with other HR members to develop relevant talent processes.
Key responsibilities:
• Identifying organisation’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy and processes to improve recruitment and business performance
• Developing a robust workforce planning and resource forecasting process by working with the business and HR team to feed into recruitment strategy and planning
• Anticipating the organisation’s future and working with senior executives to advise on recruiting tactics that will help to sustain the company’s success
• Applying strategies to attract top talent and diverse candidates from across the globe to all areas of the business
• Developing a world-class on boarding process for national and international candidates to provide a great new hire experience and a seamless transition
• Partnering with the broader talent acquisition team for shared use of tools and resources
• Communicating with external sources, i.e. peer organisations to acknowledge any trends in recruitment and markets which could impact upon the business
• Managing and delivering reports and data when required
Experience in developing and implementing Talent Acquisition processes in large global organizations. Evidence of transforming a traditional recruitment function into a fully digitized and innovative Talent Acquisition function at par with global excellence within a large multi-national organisation is key. Deep technical knowledge of and hands-on experience with various recruitment models and workforce planning concepts will be critical.
Having commercial and analytical know-how is required, as is having strong communication and leadership skills. You must be strategic, influential and confident in building relationships with business partners and employees at all levels.
You will be expected to be proficient in the following:
• Pushing talent acquisition change programmes from both a strategic and operative level
• Ability to be strategic and tactical when making decisions
• Latest recruitment management and tracking software, such as, Success Factors, Workday
• Ability to develop agile and robust business processes by using proven design methods and techniques
• Interpersonal and motivational skills
• Analytical and capable of reading data and reports to assess complex information
