Assignment Details

Our client is a government organization. They are looking to engage with a Institution Development Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Acting as the resource person for capacity building activities undertaking liaison
with key stakeholders on technical issues in support of the project;
2. Responsible for providing technical inputs in monitoring, reporting and evaluation
of all institutional reform and development activities
3. Facilitating knowledge sharing and management.
4. Provide technical input to the development of annual work plans for the Project
component and oversee the preparation of documentation accordingly (including
letters of agreement, budgets, TORs, and schedules of payment);
5. Support the delivery of the work plan and its outputs through consultants,
contractors and partners;
6. Analyze and monitor progress with implementation of activities and advise the
members on timely corrective actions for proper project delivery;
7. Ensure, in close consultation, the effective application, elaboration and
implementation of coherent work plans, project and programme documents,
preparation of compelling proposals and achievement of results

Skills Required

1. Prior experience in community mobilization, capacity building and institutional
development
2. Sound technical knowledge on registration of community based organizations
(CBO), gender mainstreaming, participatory rural appraisal, SWOT 3 analysis
and design of IEC material
3. Thorough experience of having worked in multi-disciplinary teams
4. Sound knowledge of Result Based Program Management.
5. Strong knowledge of the latest theories and concepts in urban development
and sustainable cities
6. Strong analytical and research skills;
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with different
stakeholders
